Tactical Pilot Charts
Tactical Pilot Charts (TPCs) are a series of worldwide medium-scale (1:500,000) aeronautical charts that provide topographic information for air navigation. They are designed for medium-altitude, high-speed visual and radar navigation and are also used for operational planning and intelligence briefings.
The charts are from public available sources from the internet. The oldest chart is from 1962. The newest chart from 2004. All charts are scanned, orthorectified, and prepared for use in Free AirMap. Due to license restrictions some regions are not covered (e.g. Canada, parts of Australia). In those regions the ONC charts will be used instead.
To use these TPC charts in Free AirMap no installation of charts is required, but you have to download Free AirMap build 4.0.0.3 or higher (see download page).
